Who this policy covers
This is the privacy policy for promisetomom.com, run by A Promise to Mom. We help families understand their options and, when it fits, introduce them to partners who remodel homes for aging in place, provide care at home, or run care communities. This page covers what we collect on this website, through our ads and forms on Facebook and Instagram, and when you call or text with us.
What the form asks
It asks what brings you here, what would help most, when help may be needed, the ZIP code where it is needed, your name, your phone number, and how you’d like to be reached. Nothing more. Please don’t enter medical records, insurance numbers, or other sensitive documents—the first conversation doesn’t need them.
What is collected automatically
Saved with your answers: the page you submitted from, the site you came from, and the country, state, city and postal code your internet connection resolves to. That location is approximate and comes from the connection, not from your device.
Like most websites, ours also receives your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you view, and the ad or link that brought you here. Some of this is kept in cookies, which are small files your browser stores.
Where your answers go
Your answers stay in the page while you move between the steps, and are not saved in your browser. When you submit, they are sent to A Promise to Mom’s own response sheet, held in the company’s Google account. There is no form service and no lead marketplace in between. If the send doesn’t succeed, the form tells you so rather than thanking you for something that never arrived.
How we use your information
- To prepare the first conversation and to reach you the way you asked.
- To work out which kind of help may fit your family.
- To see which areas families are asking from, and which pages and ads are helping them find us.
- To keep the website secure and to meet our legal obligations.
We don’t use your answers to make automated decisions about you.
Who sees it
A Promise to Mom uses your answers to prepare the first conversation and to reach you the way you asked. Your inquiry is not sold. Where a partner may be the right fit, we ask you first before sharing your details with them. Once you’ve agreed to an introduction, that partner handles your information under its own privacy policy.
The companies that help us run this website see only what their job requires: Cloudflare, which hosts the site and the form; Google, which holds the response sheet; Microsoft, for Clarity; and Meta, for the advertising measurement described below. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
Calls and texts
We reach you by the method you chose, about the inquiry you sent. The form does not sign you up for a marketing list. If you ask us to text you, message and data rates may apply, and how often we text depends on your request. Reply STOP to any text to end them, or HELP for help. We do not share mobile numbers or text-message consent with anyone for their own marketing.
Advertising on Facebook and Instagram
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, which are run by Meta. This website uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code that tells Meta which pages were viewed and when the form was submitted. That lets us see which ads led families to us, and show our ads to people more likely to need them.
When the form is submitted we also confirm it to Meta from our own server. That confirmation includes your phone number converted into a scrambled code (a hash) that Meta can only match to an account it already has, along with your IP address and browser type. We never send Meta what you told us about Mom or what your family needs.
If you fill in one of our forms inside Facebook or Instagram instead of on this website, Meta collects your answers and passes them to us, and this policy applies from that point on.
You can limit how Meta uses your activity on other websites in your Meta ad preferences, and you can block or clear cookies in your browser. Meta’s handling of what it collects is covered by the Meta Privacy Policy.
How we see which pages help
This site uses Microsoft Clarity to show us where pages confuse people: clicks, scrolling, and a replay of the visit. Clarity masks text by default, including what is entered in a form, so what you tell us and your phone number are not readable in a replay. Microsoft’s handling of what it does collect is covered by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Other connections on this site
Fonts and photographs are served with the site.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for 24 months after our last contact with you, and then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or tell us to stop contacting you, at any time and whichever state you live in. Email [email protected]. We’ll answer within 30 days, and we won’t treat you differently for asking. We may need to confirm it’s you before we act.
Keeping it safe
Your information travels to us over an encrypted connection and is held in a company account that only the people who respond to families can open. No website can promise perfect security. If something ever goes wrong with your information, we will tell you.
Children
This website is for adults helping a parent or planning for themselves. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
